Reading of "Immortals" by Miriam Weisfeld
August 13th at 7 PM at LARAC in Glens Falls
- FREE ADMISSION -
A brand new play about the night Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein.
“On a summer night exactly two hundred years ago, Mary Shelley created Frankenstein. It happened at Lord Byron’s wild party, while a lightning storm raged outside. At Lake George Theater Lab we will explore how to represent the storm onstage and tell this story in a fresh, dangerous way.” Playwright Miriam Weisfield, Directors Josh Hecht and Yury, Designer Misha Kachman, mishakachman.com and Actors Merritt Janson, Kieran Mulcare & Henry Clarke. We are working in a co pro with A.R.T. Harvard Alums and Araca Broadway Group toward a producers reading at the end of August at Rattlestick Theater in NYC.
Lake George Theater Lab provides space for artists working on brand new plays, musicals and screenplays to live and work on our shores in a retreat setting.
We need audiences for our reading and subsequent talk back (with refreshments!!!) in order to properly learn where the play is currently in its development process. Come and listen and help shape the landscape of a brand new American play.
We need YOU!!!
